Interests

Retirement from full-time work has brought more time for other interests, but not retirement from science and public health. I remain involved with scientific committees working towards the elimination of neglected tropical diseases — a field that has been an important part of my professional life.

Beyond that, I enjoy exploring astronomy, technology, travel, model railways, 3D printing and making things. Some are lifelong interests, others are new adventures. What connects them all is curiosity — the pleasure of continuing to learn, understand how things work and try things for myself.
